About our Storytelling Initiative: “The Nanny Project”

The Nanny Project highlights the real experiences of Black and Brown nannies who worked during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through performance ethnography, it shares important stories of care, work, and strength, challenging stereotypes about Black and Brown women. The first one-act play, “You Can’t Overlove Anything,” is the debut of Le Chat Noir Productions, started by our Artistic Director, Ms. Courtney L. Black, and based on research by Felicia Black. This page will share updates and the progress of The Nanny Project.
